Where Rainbows End

Feel such a blubberer this morning! finished 'Where Rainbows end'  by one of my soft spot/ guilty pleasures authors ( apologies to Elizabeth Gaskell ) and burst into tears!... I have never done that since reading ' what Katy did ' many ,many years ago. Well, as  is my want,  when I cry I end up crying for 'everything that has happened that I should have cried about at the time but didn't!!! do you know what I mean? so I have had a drippy half hour and now feel thoroughly exhausted but much better and ready to enjoy my day off, woop woop! Hannah and Bee are coming for dinner so will enjoy a lovely cuddle with them both. Let me know if you have had a similar experience with a book, or am I a freak?

No, you're not a freak and if you are, you're not alone - I too am a freak!

Marley and Me was one that set me off. I bawled my eyes out at the end of it.

There was also a chapter in Carole Matthews, The Difference A Day Makes that made me cry, but that's because it hit so close to home.

Having a good cry gets things out of your system, and they're much better out than in.

NO you are definitely not a freak...
I know exactly what you mean and as my lovely mum always said to me it's better out than in,there is nothing like a good cry. Have a wonderful, cuddly Sunday with your big girl and her darling baby.

Hi Jenny,

You are so not a freak if you are we need to start a freak club!!!!! I have cried at so many books it is untrue! most recent one really cried at is Jodi Picoult, My sisters Keeper, so sad but film was rubbish!! and Twilight, Breaking Dawn but that was sheer happiness but then reality hit and I realised that was the end of the Twilight saga for me!!!
So glad you had a lovely day off with Hannah and Phoebe x

Love your blog, gotta check out your shop now too :) I know what you mean about the books. I used to read all those girly chick books, last weekend I watched the Notebook dvd and cried so much. Have you saw it, if not, make sure you have lots of hankies at the ready
