Am I fat?

Well obviously you can't see me so you can'y say either way but I had a lovely comment from a Suzanne the other day that I had lost loads of weight. Of course I was thrilled and then realised that it was probably because I have shed three layers of clothing because of the warm weather, pah! but what constitutes a fatty? when I look at women my age that are size 10 they look really scrawny to me but size 16/18 looks uncomfortable so the 14 /16 range seems pretty okay to me  with the elusive and desirable 12 the goal to aim for! The reason for the slight introspection on weight at the moment is because I have swapped doctors to one of those Darzi clinics (have no idea how to spell that!) that are open from 8am-8pm and it is really fantastic you walk in and are seen immediately and don't need to take any time off work woopee! they gave me a body check overhaul thingy, checkup that's the word, and said I was bordering on having to go on a weight reduction programme, is that a diet ? or enrolling me into 'The Biggest Loser' ? who knows so have been a bit preoccupied with the wobbly bits since then  and the thought of summer clothes isn't helping either! Have a great weekend everyone!

I used to be a size 22, now I'm a size 12 and at 5' 8" its pretty much right. I still looked OK at size 16 but of course thats not OK health wise.

When I go for health checkups, they can't get me on weight, they can't get me on exercise, can't get me on smoking, but I do like my wine! Hmmm....if you could just cut your alcohol intake down....Well if I did that I'd be perfect and you've got to have the odd vice.

Aim to lose 10% of your body weight, that brings many health benefits and is probably do able. Good luck if you do decide to tackle that fat!

I was totally insulted when I was told that as I hadn't thought of myself as being even nearly overweight. Have lost 8 lbs and it has made so much difference I can't believe it.

I wonder why they do this to us? I think it's just more of the "youth oriented culture" that is sooo prominent today. And ya wonder why these women - like on the news the other day- get addicted to plastic surgery! I mean, what is considered obese today was womenly curves back in the 50's

As long as you feel healthy and energetic (and your doctor isn't yelling at you) I say you are in good shape! Beauty DOES come from with in :)

ps. it does feel so good to be shedding clothing!

yes, I seem to be stuck in that 14/16 range, and shooting for the elusive 12. Maybe one day...your blog is great. :)
