A day to remember

For some reason most of my vivid memories of special days  involve the same kind of  balmy, hot, walking in fields with insects buzzing lazily kind of thing, and I was lucky enough to have such a delicious day yesterday! Steve and I spent the day with our good friends Rich and Daf. First we went to  May Beck, parked the car and walked to Midge Hall  (see above) for a coffee (and to suss out their eco-loo!)  Then we ploughed on with the walk which then went through rivers, fields, Little Beck village, more bridlepaths, round a few old farmhouses and more lovely meadows.. it was a perfect day! to finish I made a request to go to Runswick Bay which is one of my all time perfect places, well, what can I say it took my breath away as usual and you just have to park at the top and walk down which didn't go down too well with the rest of the party but came good in the end!  It feels so good to have spent time making memories, I will relive those moments of walking in the flowers in the hot sun when we are in the depths of  winter with the North Sea lashing the coast!
