MAS - a step forward!

We had a very enterpising day at work yesterday. A very good friend of Bespoke Country, Mike Whiteley, is a management consultant and also works for  the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS). Now Mike has been doing a MAS project with us for some time because apparantly we are manufacturers, even though we call it making things!! When I think of how much we do design and create under the BC banner not to mention what we supply to Fortnum & Mason it makes me think wow! but I think of manufacturers in a 'North and South' way (fave book by the way- not to mention lovely Richard thingy in the BBC adaptation!) Maybe we fill the 'little' manufacturer slot! Anyway, Mike was brill, nagged me to get my figures up to date (what's new!) and pointed a way forward to us that was a real hallelujah moment (that crochet angel gets everywhere!) - you know when something is staring you in the face!!! and then he took us out to dinner- I love that man! we even had a pudding! (strawberry & white chocolate creme brulee with shortbread btw - YUM!)
