Slow Spin Cycle
After such an eventful weekend it has been a sort of walking in treacle week! The shops are so busy and by the end of the day the aching feet are ready for a sit down, however last night (my York minibreak night at Theo's) Rachel and I decided to explore York at night! of course forgot the camera so no piccys but we had a great time and even hooked onto the back of a ghost tour for a minute or two walking past them very slowly! We went down all the olde back streets round the minster looking in all the gardens and fab olde houses and discovered at least three tearooms as yet unfrequented, how can that be? must be losing my touch! and finished up with a hot chocolate at Cafe Concerto right next to the minster but unfortunately it was bell ringing practise night, which I have to say was thrilling to start with but an hour later felt like a right old din! We then walked back down past my very favourite row of georgian houses in York by the river Foss which are just straight out of Jane Austen, I haven't quite decided on my favourite just yet they are all slightly different, I'm waiting for one of them to come up for sale so I can investigate further! (don't you just hate timewasters!). Nothing can compare though to my lovely Red House
