Bird cages but without the bird

Is that strange? to have a developing passion for vintage looking birdcages (but I don't want a bird at all which is surely the whole point of having one!) - I think it is a vintage icon that is going to be  the next big thing and I have got two in my garden which have been there since the VGP and are lashed to the fence with resident homemade paper birds inside (thanks Gabs!). Victoria has also brought one into the shop for display which is very old and I keep looking at it wanting to get my little crafty mitts on it for a bit of a makeover, she's back from Ireland now so I'll run it past her tonight at our planning meeting which will be the usual, 'help! everone's on holiday how are we going to get all the work done with only 24 hours in a day!!! We had a massive rug delivery last week and I must take some pictures of all the lovely colours, the Bright Floral range is particularly rich looking, just in time for our transition into autumn and a warmer palette of colours. (well, it must be nearly autumn because X Factor is on the telly), isn't it strange to be looking forward to wearing jumpers again!

How lovely that you visited my blog, I love the colours you have used on yours! Think I may have shopped online from your shop a few years ago!

Thanks Heather! yes I do have a passion for green. The Scarborough shop is green downstairs and I tend to wear green which is probably why I make the customers jump when I say hello!jennyx
